CL7 Opens Applications for 2027 Ewing’s Sarcoma Research Grants

Applications are now open for research grants of $20,000 to $150,000 and a $50,000 Young Investigator Award.
We’re excited to announce that The Charlie Landers Foundation (CL7) is now accepting applications for our 2027 research grants. Both grant cycles opened on October 1, 2026, continuing our commitment to funding research that could make a difference for patients facing Ewing’s Sarcoma.
Charlie wanted to help other kids going through what he was going through. That wish continues to guide our work. With the support of our CL7 community, we’re backing researchers working toward better treatments and a cure, while helping the next generation of investigators pursue new ideas.
Our 2027 research grant offers $20,000 to $150,000 for one year of pediatric Ewing’s Sarcoma research. We welcome applications from both new and established researchers with an MD, PhD, or dual MD/PhD. Funding supports pre-clinical, translational, and clinical research with the potential to directly improve patients’ lives.
Applications are due January 22, 2027. The recipient announcement is scheduled for March 24, 2027, with funding beginning July 1, 2027.
Our 2027 Young Investigator Award provides $50,000 for one year and is designed for researchers early in their careers, including postdoctoral and clinical fellows. Applicants must be within five years of completing fellowship at the application deadline, have experience in translational research, and work with a mentor who has a track record in pediatric oncology.
Young Investigator applications are due December 11, 2026. The recipient announcement is scheduled for January 29, 2027, with funding beginning May 1, 2027.
Both awards offer the possibility of a second year of funding, subject to demonstrated progress and approval. Full eligibility requirements, application instructions, and a downloadable budget template are available on each grant page.
